This recipe can made with few ingredients, which are available at your kitchen.

                              Here I am going to share the spicy and tempting crispy chili garlic potato bites in   Mc-cain style. When we are going to bye small packet of Mc-cain , that is very expensive and not hygenic also. Why I said not hygienic? The reason is we don't know about the preparation and quality of potatoes and spices. The packaging process and the workers also need to hygiene but we can not know about the hygiene process.

                                   This recipe you can make at home and serve the goodness of crispy chili garlic potato bites to your family and kids. Preparing of chili garlic potato bites is very much easy process, Which anyone can make with less effort and less ingredients which are available at everyone's kitchen.

What is crispy chili garlic potato bites?   

This is a combination of red chili flakes, grated garlic, boiled and mashed potato and some household spices and bread crumbs, which make this recipe crispy and tasty. The chili flakes makes this recipe tasty and looks tempting.

We all knows that any recipe first eat by eye then eat by mouth. Means whatever the recipe is that have to looks great, tempting otherwise the recipe does not attract anyone.

Is chili garlic potato bite healthy?

The answer is yes, because this recipe is homemade and hygienic. In this recipe we use garlic which increase immunity in our body, which is necessary in this winter season and this covid pandemic situation. Here we are not using any type of chemicals and preservatives. We use fresh potato and fry with fresh oil. 

Now coming to the main part, the making of the delicious, tasty, tempting, crispy chili garlic potato bites.

Ingredients for Crispy chili garlic potato bites:

  1. Boiled potato - 4 medium size
  2. Bread crumbs - 6 tbsp
  3. Corn flour - 4 tbsp
  4. Chili flakes - 2 tsp
  5. Grated garlic - 2 tsp
  6. Black peeper powder - 1 tsp
  7. Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  8. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Butter - 1 tsp
  11. Oil for fry
                                                Before going to the procedure first of all know about the procedure of homemade bread crumbs. For that we need bread slices of 7-8 pieces that is white bread or brown bread does not matter.

  1. Cut the bread slices roughly.
  2. Grind them in mixer grinder and make a smooth powder.
  3.  Then dry roast the above powder at low-medium flame till golden brown in colour. You have to sure that the texture of Breadcrumbs are like semolina.
                                        Then your home-made bread-crumbs are ready.

Procedure for crispy chili garlic potato bites:

STEP-1: First peel the boiled potato and grate with grater.

STEP-2: Add 2 tsp-chili flakes, 2 tsp-grated garlic, 1 tsp- black peeper powder, 1 tsp- cumin powder, 1 tsp- garam masala powder, salt as per taste.

STEP-3: For binding add corn flour 4 tbsp and for making crispy bites add 6 tbsp bread-crumbs and add 1 tsp butter.

STEP-4: Mix all the above well and make a dough not so tight and not so soft.

STEP-5: Make 3 equal part of the dough.

STEP-6: Spread some corn flour or all purpose flour on the rolling board or kitchen floor. Take 1 piece  dough and roll it in a cylindrical shape make sure that the diameter of roll is about 2 centimetre.

STEP-7: Roll the rest two dough like before. Cover the above roll with a foil paper or wrapping paper otherwise you can use polythene that use for household works.

STEP-8: Freeze the covered roll in freezer for 30 minutes before frying.

STEP-9: After 30 minutes unwrap the rolls and cut into small pieces about 1 inch thickness.

STEP-10: You can store these bites for 7-10 days by freeze these bites in an air-tight container.

STEP-11: Heat a pan and add oil. After heating oil fry the potato bites in low-medium flame till golden brown in color and crispy in texture.

                                         Then serve these Mc-cain style chili garlic potato bites with tomato ketchup or red/green chutney.

Tips for Chili garlic potato bites:

  • Do not over boil the potato otherwise when you grate the potatoes they can release excess water which is not good for potato bites.

  • If feel that the moisture of potato is much more after adding corn-flour and bread-crumbs, then you can add more corn-flour and bread crumbs but at exact ratio. You can store these bites for 1 hour also. This step also absorb excess moisture from the dough. 

  • While you going to fry these bites make sure the oil in medium  flame and after adding the bites then you low the flame and fry till golden brown. This step make your bites more crispy  and tasty too.
